Start of a new era

Hi there,

Finally started my work. So far its been all training and looking at ppt and trying to make myself useful. Very normal, just as per Tandus. Got a nice welcome with two ballons, a carebear on my table. Oh yeah, by the way, my team of 9 others are all gals, thats why they are called carebear team. Work seems okay, but they work till very late. NOBODY leaves the office at 6pm, unlike my time at tandus when i can go off at 6. I am sure its not a case of poor time management. But anyway, I am trying very hard to learn at the moment. With regards to the OT part, I will handle it next time. At least let me leave by 7.30 ba. haha.. Okay la. Latest 8. hahaha.. We shall see. . .

Who says there is nothing free in this world

i did mention that i bought 2 sets of 3 days bay grandstand ticket at 350. Upon purchase, i never thought of watching the actual race live. I had always intended to watch the fri practice and sat qualifying only. So i put up the sunday race tickets on ebay. I intended to sell them around 250-280 but who knows someone pushed the bids to 403. So what does it mean?

I get to see the fri and sat races and also $53 free. WOW... i admit i was lucky but sometimes it the small things in life that make us happy. To kimi, hamilton, bari, button, alsono, here we come!!!

I finally found someone

Haha.. i finally landed a job. Seriously, even when i accepted this offer, i had more in store. Those to a certain extent had more prospects, maybe better pay, etc. But i had enough le la. The days of waiting for the phone to ring, checking new jobs on a daily basis, etc. Anyway, this is one of the most stringent jobs interview i ever had.

Phase 1: Group interview/Analytical Test
Phase 2: Presentation/ Interview with Manager and Account Director
Phase 3: Interview with the Managing Director
Phase 4: 3 Days trial at co.
Phase 5: Checking of references before they will offer
Phase 6: Finally landed the darn job.

For gods sake, this is the lowest life form position in this co. Not a manager la... But still glad that i finally can get a job. Heck and just let me do my job!

Outings

The last week has been a hectic week for the both of us. It was teachers day and the school holidays were ongoing. Therefore, we went to many places. Safra Jurong for K-box, Night Safari and Marina Barrage. The camera is not with me. So shall do the postings with the pics when i have the time. Take care all.

PS: To my beloved fren who has two new additions, I sincerely wish u well. The sight of ur two new baby borns makes me wanna me a father too.. haha.. All the best to you, your wife and the twins. Yours will be a happy family. haha.. take care!

Finally. 2

Its the second finally. After browsing ebay, sgforums, mocca etc, i finally managed to purchase this year FORMULA ONE SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX TICKETS (screaaaaaaaams!!!). I know my gf loves this sport very much, although i was the one that influenced her. But i still very very glad that i can bring her there. Bought 2 tickets for $350 and trying to sell the actual race days tickets so that i can cover the cost. Maybe next year, when i have more money, then i can afford better tickets.

Finally.

The first of two finally, I managed to get something. I will be doing a 3 days trial at Millward Brown. It is a market research firm just like Ac Nielsen and TNS. Am I happy? Quite actually. The interview was fast.In a space of 24 hours, i did a group interview, maths test, presentation, interview with the Account Director, Project Manager and finally the Managing Director.

However, the MD has some reservations, which i understand. Therefore, these three days, starting from tml, i will try to fit myself into the organisation. I am confident for this is a job i have always wanted. Praying hard....

On the other hand, once i finally start work, i can account to my parents, gf and etc. its been a long while since i was earning. Now that i have 'found' a job, i really hope to save, contribute and of cos aim for marriage. I hope i can. I can, i hope.

Still Jobless

As of today, i have already sent in 140 job applications. However, there is still no sign of any jobs approaching. I do feel the pressure. lol.. Even my gf mum also ask me about the job hunt.

But i really do want to get a job that pays decent and yet, gives me an opportunity to learn. Hopefully that job will come soon. Are Changi Airport group, Canon, AC Nielsen listening??? haha..

How would it end

Hi All,

Its been a long time since blogging was done. So many things happen and the taiwan trip will be the main highlight. But not here to blog about that today. Feel emo today. Had a quarrel over something today. So whats new right? Who on earth wont quarrel. Just that this time round, i don feel like backing down. I have been doing that so often. i need to breath.

a couple i know who have been together very long got married. more than 10 years together before they commit. After that, they divorced after a year. Weird right? To me, a lot of ppl will say 'wow u guys are together for almost 4 years liao. Can get married le.' And i do agree that we have been together for quite some time le. But inside myself, i also know that it only takes a spark to get a fire going. how long a couple has been together is no measure of their success.

At the end of the day, it takes two hands to clap, two hands to work. lets see.

I have to admit that i have not been blogging for the longest time i can remember. This mainly due to the fact of the just concluded exams.

God knows the what the results will be, but they are over arent they? lol...

Tml is the 8th June and its the first day of my taiwan word tour. Luggage packed. Money changed. Schedule planned. Everything done. Looking forward to this trip as been planning it for quite some time and its a good escape before i start work.

I decide to spend the max and worry abt finances when i return. Anyway, my life will be work work work after this. Praying hard that i can find a job soon.

Genting Trip 2009

Hahaha.. Yes, i went to genting again. This is the fouth tim in the last 1.5 years. I like the weather, i like the feeling that every place is interlinked. I like the fact that the shops are open till 1 or 2. Makes the day feel very long. Anyway, this was like a very normal trip. Nothing surprising or exciting to mention since i been there so many times le. But a trip with my loved ones will always be worth the fun.

Jobless

My sister came into my room just now. She asked me " You worried if you cant find a job". My answer was an immediate NO. What can i do if the economy is real bad. I never felt that a degree was a BIG thing. Yes, it was maybe 20 years ago. No longer anymore. Maybe if you go orchard ona saturday evening and throw a stone, chances are, you will hit a graduate. Worse, you might hit a masters. haha.. that is life.

There is limited i can do. Worrying wont help. I will just stay positive. Of cos i know many ppl around me are waiting for this day. My parents, relatives, my gf so on so on. I will try to make the most of the situation.

Had a quarrel yest over some trival stuff yest. Just when we were cooling down, as I was listening to 933, the DJ said something. It was good to quarrel. His arguement came from the point that during quarrels, we say things we normally wont say and that actually through quarrels, we get to understand each other better, like she wasnt happy when i did that or said that, that time...

Perhaps, as an anaolgy of a sponge, we will absorb each other's shortcomings. absorb and absorb until someone squeezes out all the water. Then we start to absorb again. thats the life of the sponge ba... as for us, we made up pretty soon. lol...

Welcome to TW

Oh yeah, my plans for the macau, HK, SZ has changed. We are going tw instead. There was supposed to be some cheap tickets from jetstar that made travelling to tw affordable. However, shit, i could not get the tickets in time. Was quite disappointed and almost wanted to change back my plans till i saw zuji.com. They had return tickets to tw for about 400+ on cathay. Quite a good deal, but need to transit, which i did not mind. We have a lot of time ma.. lol. . .

Still busy with my prelims and stuff. Shall book the hotels and my iti later. .

V Dae 2009

It has been a long time since i had any entries into the blog. I believe it has got to do with the momentum ba. Once you start, you cant stop, once u stop, you cant start.

Anyway, v day was pretty good. Went to the esplanade to watch breakout, which was funny and exciting. The seating for the esplanade was also nice. Although i bought the cheapest tickets, it was still quite worthwhile. Had dinner at sushi teh quite early to avoid the crowds.

Did some shopping before heading home. Its the 4th year liao, so pretty unevenful. Normal ba, i suppose.

V day Plans

Next sat is vday liao and I still do not have anything concrete. This is our 4th vday together. We have celebrated at posh places like chijmes, menotti and also normal places like sake. I think as we grow, we know that vday is just a marketing ploy to earn more $. So i will shun those places that offer set meals at high high prices. Not worth it. and since we are going overseas soon, must save up.. We shall see abt it. At the end of the day, its not the meal that matters, but the company . .

New post!

Yes, i am finally posting something. Forget my password, then been pretty busy so could not post anything. Anyway, its january already. So that means my exams are fast approaching. May, might seem be a long way to go but as i have 5 modules to cover, time is really running short, but i will be motivated to do well as i have plans for a WORLD TOUR 2009 after my exams, somewhere in june.. haha.. World tour meaning Macau, Hongkong and Shenzhen. Not bad la.. been actively planning and seeing how the cost could be reduced. Will update more when things are confirmed. Anyway, I just have to put all things aside to concentrate on my studies...
